Companions Plus Senior Care was founded by Allyson and Dr. Joseph Scognamiglio after years of dedication to the well-being of older adults. Their experience and personal commitment to senior care shaped the company’s mission to provide trustworthy, high-quality home care services.

Meet Dr. Joseph Scognamiglio

Dr. Scognamiglio holds a B.S. in Biology from Muhlenberg College and a degree from Palmer College of Chiropractic. With 20 years of experience in private practice in Central Nyack, New York, he has worked extensively with elderly patients and understands their unique health and care needs.

Meet Allyson

Allyson earned her B.S. degree from Appalachian State University in North Carolina. Passionate about improving the lives of seniors, she has dedicated her career to working with older adults in both North Carolina and New York.

Our daughter Christa graduated from Stony Brook University and joined the company in 2021.
